Tysons McLean Orchestra
The Tysons McLean Orchestra’s 49th Season, Forward to Fifty Season, is about renewal as the orchestra looks forward to the 50th Anniversary Season. TMO amended its typical season to three concerts and created a series of outbound performances for various community groups to further develop its audience.
TMO’s 49th Season has something for everyone, beginning with a family-friendly holiday pops concert, The Holidays Are Here, with Cáitlín Burke, our soloist direct from the Broadway stage and the national tour of The Sound of Music. The concert will also feature our principal flutist Amy Thomas.
Moving into 2020, we feature a smaller chamber concert Serenades in March that will wow and amaze with Haydn’s, Farewell Symphony, as TMO says good-bye to the past and hello to the future with its final concert for the season, Triumph.
Triumph is the is our kick-off to our 50th season and will dazzle audiences with vibrant repertoire sure to appeal to young and old with Bernstein’s Candide Overture and Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, and Respighi’s majestic Pines of Rome.
The TMO hopes you will join us this season as a season subscriber or attendee, a volunteer on one of our five Board committees or as a donor that supports the valuable work that TMO is undertaking to ensure that the orchestra arts and education are thriving in the Tysons and McLean communities.
