Fireworks 2022 Postponement Announcement

Based on the latest weather forecasts, which indicate strong storms after 2pm and continuing throughout the evening, and in conjunction with our Fireworks company, Starfire Corporation, the July 2, 2022 Fireworks event will be rescheduled for Sunday, July 10, 2022. 

The Workhouse is making this decision out of an abundance of caution for all of our staff and volunteers working this event AND for all of our valuable patrons who would be attending this event. 

During the course of this coming week, the Workhouse will be back in touch with everyone who have purchased tickets for today’s events, and we will let you know more details about the July 10, 2022 rescheduled Fireworks event.

Workhouse Annual Fireworks Return in 2022!

General Information

Launched from our historic, 55-acre campus, the region’s largest pre-Independence Day Fireworks show celebrates the history of this amazing nation. The event will dazzle all visitors with an incredible display of vibrant colors, bright lights, and ground-shaking explosions and offer amazing and fun entertainment for all ages!

This year's event will include a performance by Mark G. Meadows: A Night of Wonder (7:30pm-9:00pm) Get ready for an evening celebrating the magic of Stevie Wonder. Mark G. Meadows presents fresh takes on beloved classics like “Sir Duke,” “For Once in my Life,” “Superstition,” and many more! You’ll feel the love and the joy of Wonder’s songs in Meadows’ capable hands.  For seating options, please note ticket pricing options below. Due to the nature of this event we are unable to provide refunds.

WEATHER POLICY

In consultation with our fireworks provider, Starfire Corporation, rain poses little risk to fireworks as long as the fireworks containers are kept dry. Downpours and thunderstorms can cause a fireworks show to be delayed or cancelled, especially if there's lightning, but at this point in time, the Workhouse Arts Center plans on the entire fireworks event, including the performance and activities beforehand, to go on as planned. IF weather conditions become so severe, on July 2, 2022, that the fireworks show cannot occur, then only the actual fireworks portion of this overall event will be rescheduled for July 10, 2022.

Time: 6pm-10pm; VIP ticketing provides access from 5pm onward (fireworks begin at dark)

July 2022 Fireworks Ticket Options

Premiere VIP - $120 (SOLD OUT)

•   Early access to campus with reserved parking for one vehicle
•   Seating inside the Rizer Pavilion tent for the day
•   Complimentary reserved seating for two (2) under the Rizer Pavilion for the OnStage performance by Mark G. Meadows

•   Reserved parking (no early access) for one vehicle
•   Access to Workhouse Fireworks activities and quad refreshment area, non-reserved
•   Off-quad picnic table seating, subject to availability; non-reserved/first-come first-served
