About This Event
Songs for a New World is, “about one moment. It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back,” according to composer Jason Robert Brown. The stunning musical production from Triune Entertainment features a stellar cast of local favorites: Shakil Azizi, Sarah Bright, Joshua Ewalt, and Cate Murray.
The musical score blends elements of jazz, gospel and popular music and features tight harmonies and daring vocals. Songs for a New World will transport audiences through various settings from the deck of a Spanish sailing ship bound for a new land, to the ledge of a New York penthouse, and even the North Pole.
