Celebrate Mardi Gras at the Workhouse Arts Center!

Bring the whole family for music, laughter and even a Mardi Gras parade, all on the campus of the Workhouse Arts Center!

While observing social distancing and all safety guidelines, activities will be able to be enjoyed while remaining in the comfort of your own vehicle. The fun begins in the afternoon, with an on-campus Mardi Gras parade featuring your friends and neighbors! (Would your family to be in the parade..? Be sure to keep reading to find out how!) Later in the day, a pop-up Drive-In Movie screen will be arranged for LIVE Stand Up Comedy Shows from professional comedians Rahmein & Friends! The first show will have content and language similar to a PG movie, with a second show geared towards an adult audience. (Advance ticket purchase is required for the comedy shows.)

Family Friendly Mardi Gras Parade Details

Parade Begins at 3:00pm

Parade Spectator Tickets: Free! (no tickets required)

Parade Participant Entry Fee: $10 (per entry, not per person)

VIP Spectator Package: $50 (per vehicle)

(VIP package includes reserved premium parade viewing parking and admission for one vehicle to the Rahmein & Friends Early Show with early entry access for best viewing locations.)

Parade Participant Information

For those that would like to participate in the Mardi Gras parade, we encourage you to pick a theme and decorate your vehicle (or wagon, or stroller, get creative!), wear themed costumes, and for the truly ambitious- build a parade float to pull or ride along! Did we mention there will be prizes awarded for our judges? Four participating entries (as chosen by our judges) will receive a $50 cash award plus a complimentary ticket to the Rahmein & Friends Early Show! The judges will be looking for: Best Costume, Best Float, Best Vehicle, Best Stroller! Join in the fun! Entry fee is $10 per vehicle (or wagon/stroller).

Mardi Gras Drive In Comedy Show Details

LIVE professional Stand Up Comedy performers will projected onto a giant Drive In Movie screen, with audio broadcast to an FM radio channel to your vehicle's radio (or any portable FM radio). Please note that some smart phone apps will not be able to receive the signal.

Rahmein & Friends Early Show (PG version)

Begins at 5:00pm, Tickets are $25 per vehicle

Admission ticket also includes two souvenir Workhouse wine glasses per vehicle!

This performance will run approximately 50 minutes

Rahmein & Friends Late Show (adults version)

Begins at 7:00pm, Tickets are $50 per vehicle

The Late Show Admission Ticket also includes a pre-show concert set from Merissa & Robbie

and includes two souvenir Workhouse wine glasses per vehicle!

This performance (including concert) will run approximately 90 minutes

Comedy show gates open 45 minutes prior to show start time. Wine and soft drinks will be available for a la carte purchase prior to each comedy show.

One building (W16) will offer bathroom access during this event.

In Case of Inclement Weather or Exchanges

In case of inclement weather, all activities will be moved to the same time(s) for Sunday February 14, 2021. Any tickets you have purchased will be moved automatically to that date. Due to the nature of this special engagement, refunds and/or exchanges are not possible.
