About This Event
Using scraps of fabrics and other textiles, Workhouse fiber artist Marisela Rumberg will show you how to create an art "quilt" collage. You'll learn about concepts like surface design, focal point and composition as applied to the fiber arts world. Please note that there will not be time for sewing during this class, but Marisela will show you how to hand-finish your piece at home .
Skill level: Ages 10 and up
A glass of wine (or other beverage) is included. A cash bar will be available for additional beer, wine, soda or water.
If you'd like, stay with us after 6 p.m. for our monthly Second Saturday Art Walk. All seven of our gallery buildings are open until 9 p.m. with opening receptions for new art shows, refreshments, and more.
Event info: April 13, 2019, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Workhouse Arts Center, Building W16, in the cafe (first floor, across from the gift shop). Free parking. A total of 12 spaces are available.
