Lorton, VA – (February 2022) The Workhouse Arts Foundation, Inc. is thrilled to announce that Collect 2022 – AAARRRTT Treasure Island will take place, in the McGuireWoods Gallery (building W-16) on March 26, 2022, from 6pm to 10pm. Collect artwork from Workhouse campus artists will be on view in McGuireWoods Gallery March 5 – 26, 2022.

Lura Bovee, Workhouse Artist, and Workhouse Arts Foundation, Inc. Board of Director’s Secretary, said: “The Collect! – AAARRRTT Treasure Island event is an annual celebration / fundraiser supported by the original art provided by our resident artists. This event is always fun, we invite our guests to join us for a ‘pirate inspired’ evening of entertainment, games of chance, refreshment, and revelry! We are also planning the event to address the health and safety of our guests.”

Sharon Moores, Workhouse Artist Liaison, explained: “This event gives guests the opportunity to add to or begin their own collection of original art by winning work made by Workhouse artists. Pieces are picked during an exciting raffle. Guests can preview the art included in the event through both an onlinegallery (www.workhousearts/collect) and the actual on-site exhibition, in the McGuireWoods Gallery from March 5 – 26, 2022. Winners of each piece of art are announced during the auction and guests can take their art with them before they head home.”

Each ticket includes admission to the event, refreshment, beverage tickets, “funny money/casino dollars” for onsite gambling tables, and the art raffle tickets. Additional beverage tickets, casino dollars, and raffle tickets are available for purchase onsite throughout the evening. Sponsorships are available for this event and include pre-raffle “art picks” that allow sponsors to hand select their desired art before the raffle begins, among other attractive benefits.
